What happened

On 1 July 2025, an email containing a bomb threat prompted the evacuation of the Sessions Court in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Received at the court’s official email address at around 2:00 PM, the message immediately triggered established security protocols. Supported by specialised units, including bomb disposal squads, anti-sabotage teams, K-9 units and rapid response teams, law enforcement authorities secured the premises and conducted a thorough search of the entire complex. No explosive material was found at the end of the operation, confirming that it was a false alarm. A cyber investigation has been launched to trace the origin of the threatening message. According to officials, this incident is one of a series of similar threats targeting other public buildings and infrastructure in the city since May, including metro stations, hotels and sports facilities.
