What happened

Following the apprehension of two individuals in connection with a suspicious item discovered at Phuket Airport, Thai police bomb disposal units have neutralized suspected explosive devices in two southern provinces known for tourism. After the discovery of the item, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units were dispatched to Patong Beach in Phuket. Upon arrival, a security perimeter was established, and the device was rendered safe through the use of a high-pressure water disruptor. Subsequently, the EOD team proceeded to Promthep Cape in Tambon Rawai, Muang district, to examine additional suspicious items and safely eliminate the device. Authorities have affirmed that the devices presented no substantive threat to human life or property.
