What happened

In Bangladesh, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said 14 new dengue cases were admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours. Of these new cases, three were hospitalized in Barishal Division, three in Chattogram, and the rest in various parts of Dhaka. During the same 24 hours, 27 patients were released after receiving treatment. With the latest figure, the total number of dengue cases in Bangladesh this year has risen to 2986. There have also been 21 deaths. According to DGHS data, the country recorded over 100,000 dengue cases and 575 deaths in 2024.
