Police arrested dozens of suspects and seized weapons and explosives during a search operation in the rural areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district. This operation followed an attack on the homes of two police officers in the Langerkhel Pacca area, which resulted in injuries to the 18-year-old son of one of the officers. According to officials, a gunfight broke out, forcing the attackers to retreat. In a coordinated operation, law enforcement agencies raided the suspected criminals’ hideouts, leading to the arrest of more than two dozen individuals. During the raids, authorities seized an AK-47 assault rifle, a hand grenade, ammunition, and narcotics. In a separate attack, terrorists set fire to the home of a former sub-inspector of the police department in Dabak Mandrakhel area near Lakki town. There were no casualties or injuries reported in the attack.
