What happened

According to official sources, a series of hand grenade attacks were perpetrated against police forces and civilians in Quetta and several areas of the provincial capital. The assailants, who were not identified, arrived on motorcycles and proceeded to launch grenades at two police stations in Sariab and Kachi Baig. The explosions occurred in the rear yards of the buildings, resulting in partial damage to a parked service vehicle. The detonation of grenades by gunmen in the vicinity of a private residence on Brewery Road has resulted in property damage. Two grenade attacks were reported in the vicinity of a private school in Hazara town and near the AID village area. There were no reported casualties or injuries in either attack. A report was received of a grenade explosion in the vicinity of Sibi railway station. There were no reported casualties or damage from the blast. This recent escalation in violence is part of a broader trend of criminal activity in the Quetta region, which has recently included bombings, roadblocks, armed attacks on military personnel, theft of weaponry, and the burning of military vehicles, as reported by local media.
