Police are investigating a false bomb threat made against the Waterloo Region Courthouse in Kitchener. The threat was reported around noon on Monday, prompting a swift response from the Waterloo Regional Police Service. Officers quickly secured and searched the courthouse, located at the intersection of Frederick Street and Duke Street.
No explosive devices were found, and authorities later confirmed the threat was a hoax. Investigators have determined there was no danger to public safety. Police are now working to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the false report.
