Bomb threats were made against NAV Canada facilities at six major Canadian airports: Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver. The threats caused evacuations and temporary service disruptions at several locations, but normal service has since resumed at all affected sites. The exact nature of the threats has not been disclosed for security reasons. At Ottawa International Airport, a security investigation was concluded safely, and operations resumed. Meanwhile, Montreal-Trudeau Airport confirmed that there had been some delays due to the evacuation of the control tower. Police received a bomb threat call at Winnipeg’s control tower at around 6:05 am, but officers found no suspicious items. Edmonton Airport also experienced minimal operational disruption. An investigation into the threats is ongoing.
