Despite its age, the weapon has received numerous upgrades and remains in active use by the U.S. military and many other armed forces around the world. It continues to be one of the most widely deployed heavy machine guns globally. Now, according to Business Insider, it is stepping into the era of robotic warfare. Integrated with advanced AI systems, it is being fitted onto autonomous vehicles capable of navigating toward enemy positions and launching attacks with minimal human input.
