One dead after UXO explosion at Kano scrapyard

In the Kofar Dawanau area of the Dala Local Government Area, Kano, Nigeria, a fatal incident occurred at a scrapyard involving an unexploded ordnance (UXO). The detonation resulted in one fatality and injuries to six individuals. Preliminary investigations conducted by the Bomb Disposal Unit (BOMPOL) suggest that a hand grenade was the source of the detonation, which transpired as scrap metal traders were unloading materials from a vehicle.
