Armenia has sent a group of nuclear inspectors to the southern border with Iran following Israel’s strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. On June 14, the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Centre (NRSC) reported that its experts travelled to Syunik province to check radiation levels after the strikes. Measurements were carried out in several locations, including Meghri, Agarak, and Kajaran. Radiation levels were within normal limits. Meanwhile, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with his Iranian colleague Seyed Abbas Araghchi about the recent events. Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of avoiding escalation in the region. The following day, the Armenian Minister talked with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, agreeing to remain in contact to monitor the situation.
