Bomb scare on Muscat-Delhi flight

An IndiGo flight from Muscat to Delhi with 157 passengers on board made an emergency landing in Nagpur after receiving a bomb threat. Airport authorities received the threat via email after the flight left its scheduled midway stop in Kochi. The email sender presented himself as Alex Paul Menon and said a pipe bomb in the aircraft would blow up to avenge Ajmal Kasab’s hanging and the arrests of Pallan Arun (IPS) and Youtuber Savukku Shankar. The email also spoke of plans to blow up a bomb at Delhi airport. The pilot was informed about the threat mid-air and landed in Nagpur, where the plane was thoroughly inspected and passengers were checked. No explosive device was found, and the flight took off for Delhi a few hours later.
