Qatar: Ministry of Environment says radiation levels are normal

In Qatar, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) said that radiation levels in the air and territorial waters are within normal limits. The Ministry added that it is closely monitoring radiation levels across the country through land and sea radiation monitoring networks, with data indicating the stability of the radiation situation in the local environment. The MECC also highlighted the recent launch of an advanced national radiation monitoring network that covers all regions of the country. The network aims to provide early detection of radiation levels that exceed normal limits and ensure the highest levels of radiation and nuclear safety at the regional and global levels.
