What happened

Israel attacked military and nuclear sites in Iran overnight, resulting in several deaths, including those of Hossein Salami, commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff of the Iranian army, and the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, General Gholamali Rashid. Fereydoon Abbasi and Mohammad Tehranchi were also killed in targeted strikes. Abbasi was the former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, while Tehranchi was the head of the Islamic Azad University. Several strategic targets were hit in different cities, including military sites in the capital Tehran, a main uranium enrichment plant in Natanz, and a nuclear research center and two military bases in Tabriz.
