What happened

Police sources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have reported that terrorist attacks on two police stations in Bajaur, and Bannu districts of KP have been thwarted. According to an official statement, four police personnel sustained minor injuries, while the terrorists who fled the scene also suffered injuries. In the attack, the terrorists employed a variety of weapons, including rocket launchers, hand grenades, machine guns, and RPGs. Over the past year, Pakistan has experienced a notable increase in terrorist activities, particularly in the provinces of KP and Balochistan. This escalation followed the violation of a ceasefire agreement by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) with the government in November 2022. In response to the escalating threat of militant attacks, security forces have also stepped up their anti-terrorist operations in KP and Balochistan.
