The program of interventions aimed at controlling the proliferation of the tiger mosquito is ongoing in the Marche region, specifically in the Fano and Pesaro areas, where approximately 200 instances of Dengue fever were reported in the preceding year. This represents the second phase of the disinfestation program, which commenced in April. As part of the preventative actions implemented by the Municipality of Pesaro and local pharmacies, larvicidal products are being provided to residents at no cost for application in drains or drainage systems of private residences. Furthermore, the Municipality has announced the initiation of a rodent control program, which involves the placement of mobile bait stations based on citizen reports, in addition to the 70 fixed stations already distributed throughout the municipal area.
