What happened

A 40-year-old Brazilian man with Mpox is being treated in the Infectious Diseases department of the Messina Polyclinic. His condition is stable and is not considered serious. The case, confirmed by laboratory tests, is currently limited in scope. In the meantime, the provincial health authority has issued guidelines to prevent contagion among close contacts, particularly among healthcare personnel assisting the patient. At this time, no further details have been reported.
