Somalia: NISA Chief meets Hiiraan elders to fight Al-Shabaab

Abdullahi Mohamed Ali, the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), held an emergency meeting today with community leaders from the Hiiraan region to fight Al-Shabaab militants.
The consultation took place in Moqokori, a strategic town in central Somalia, to eradicate the terrorist phenomenon in the area. The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration between local communities and security forces to speed up the recovery of territories under Al-Shabaab control, particularly in remote rural areas where the group still maintains influence and carries out asymmetric attacks.
