A suspect has been arrested after two staff members from the Israeli embassy in Washington were shot and killed near a Jewish museum on Wednesday night. Elias Rodriguez, a 30-year-old Chicago resident, approached a group of people leaving the museum and opened fire, killing Yaron Lischinsky, 30, and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, 26. They worked at the Israeli Embassy in Washington and were in a relationship. After his arrest, Rodriguez yelled “Free, free Palestine”. He was not on any security watchlists and there were no heightened security threats in the US capital before the shooting.
