WHO Pandemic Agreement welcomed by GAVI

GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, acknowledges the adoption of the Pandemic Agreement during the 78th WHO World Health Assembly in Geneva. The Accord underscores the critical function of immunization in safeguarding populations, as well as in preventing and managing pandemics. GAVI affirms its commitment to facilitating this objective through the provision of timely vaccine access, the expansion of financial resources, the enhancement of regional vaccine manufacturing capabilities, and the promotion of comprehensive global collaboration, which includes continued discussions regarding the Pathogen Access and Benefit-Sharing System (PABS).
