What happened

According to reports from local authorities, two fatalities and at least 11 injuries were the result of an explosion in the vicinity of Abdul Jabbar Market, located in the Gulistan area of the Qila Abdullah district in Balochistan. Preliminary investigations indicated that the explosives had been planted in a vehicle. In response to the incident, bomb squads and law enforcement officials were dispatched to the scene and initiated an investigation, collecting evidence as they did so. The injured were conveyed to the health headquarters in the Chaman district, where they received the requisite medical attention. This incident occurs in the context of an escalating frequency and intensity of attacks by outlaw groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army, which has adopted new tactics to inflict higher numbers of casualties and directly target Pakistani security forces.
