What happened

A grenade blast at a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) rally in Quetta, Balochistan, resulted in injuries to ten individuals, with one party member and a rickshaw driver among the fatalities, according to official reports. Eyewitnesses reported that gunmen propelled hand grenades into the air as the rally proceeded along Munir Mengal Road in the Sariab area. Law enforcement officials who responded to the scene cordoned off the blast site and launched a search operation to track down the assailants, while the injured were rushed to the Trauma Centre of Quetta Civil Hospital. The uninjured rally participants proceeded to the city stadium, where they attended a previously arranged public meeting.
