The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has shut down five restaurants and a supermarket for breaching repeatedly food safety regulations. The closures affected outlets in different parts of the city and came after intensive inspections aimed at upholding food safety standards. The establishments closed by ADAFSA are Karak Future Cafeteria, Lahore Garden Grill Restaurant & Cafeteria, Pak Ravi Restaurant, Saltie Desi Darbar, Rukn Al Maqam Restaurant, and the Rich & Fresh supermarket in Mohammed Bin Zayed City. All were found to violate Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food safety in Abu Dhabi, with inspectors documenting high-risk infractions that endangered consumer health. According to ADAFSA, closure notices were issued after the businesses failed to comply with previous warnings and implement corrective measures. The closures will remain in effect until the facilities resolve their underlying issues and fully comply with food safety regulations.
