New Space Security deal between Italy and US

US Space Force (USSF) Chief of Space Operations General Chance Saltzman and Italian Air Force Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Luca Goretti have signed a deal to improve and expand mutual collaboration in space security, a sector recognised for its relevance in security and deterrence. This agreement is expected to be an opportunity to bolster interoperability between the US Space Force and the Italian Air Force, thus enhancing the skills and operations of both forces. The deal is part of the recent USSF efforts to better its defence capabilities. Part of this effort will consist of installing new relay ground stations in the US and UK to support integrating satellite-based next-generation threat detection systems.
