ATM blows up in Bari Metropolitan Area

The automated teller machine (ATM) of a city bank was destroyed in Corato, a metropolitan area of Bari, Italy, using an explosive device placed within the machine. This method is referred to as the ‘groundhog technique’. The detonation resulted in material damage. There have been no reports of any casualties or injuries. The Carabinieri intervened on site and acquired images from the video surveillance cameras in the area to facilitate the reconstruction of the dynamics of the event.
