CTD official targeted in Peshawar gun attack

According to police sources, an official from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) was killed by gunshot in Amirkhel, in the Hassankhel area of Peshawar, in the proximity of Darra Adamkhel and the local police station. The assailants remain unidentified. Senior police and Counter Terrorism Department officials arrived at the scene and conducted a search operation in the area. In recent months, several police officials have been subjected to physical violence in various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
