The ISPR reported that a clearance operation was underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. Recent days have seen additional attacks, including an incident in the Jiwani area where two members of the Pakistan Coast Guard sustained injuries when their patrol vehicle was struck by a remotely detonated IED. Furthermore, in the Pishin district, a Levies official escaped injury when his vehicle was destroyed by a roadside explosive device. In recent pronouncements, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of ISPR, has asserted that India is responsible for the increased incidence of terrorist attacks in Pakistan ‘by proxy.’ The senior officer stated that he possesses reliable intelligence regarding the utilization of Fitna-al-Khawarij and other independent terror cells by Indian military personnel to execute attacks in Balochistan.
