Building explosion in Moscow: 3 dead, 15 injured

According to a report from the Russian news agency Ria Novosti, a significant explosion occurred in a residential building in southwestern Moscow, subsequently causing a fire. This incident has resulted in at least three fatalities and fifteen injuries, with approximately twelve individuals currently trapped. Preliminary assessments indicate a potential gas leak as the origin of the explosion; however, alternative causes have not been eliminated and remain under investigation by the relevant authorities. Firefighters, along with twenty emergency response units, have been dispatched to extinguish the fire. Rescue personnel are actively engaged in the evacuation of residents from the premises.
