The initial incident occurred at the ATM of the postal office in Andria, located in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. Four individuals employed explosives to extract the cash contained within the machine. The attempt was unsuccessful, resulting in the capture of three individuals, while a fourth remains at large. The explosion caused damage to the ATM, but no injuries were reported. The second unsuccessful attack took place in Rodi Garganico, within the Foggia province, where individuals detonated an explosive at the postal office ATM. This attempt also failed, and the perpetrators fled the scene. The building sustained significant damage. No injuries to residents have been reported. Eyewitness accounts suggest that four individuals with concealed identities were involved in the attack, subsequently fleeing in a vehicle. The Carabinieri responded to the scene and initiated investigations, including the acquisition of video surveillance footage.
