5 arrests in the UK for plotting a terrorist attack

According to reports from ANSA, five individuals have been apprehended in the United Kingdom (UK) on suspicion of plotting a terrorist act. Official statements issued by the Metropolitan Police in London confirm that at least four of the arrested individuals are of Iranian nationality. The arrests were carried out in London, Manchester, and Swindon, located west of London. The ages of the four Iranian nationals range from 29 to 46 years. The age and nationality of the fifth individual are currently undetermined. Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Metropolitan Police’s counter-terrorism unit, stated that the investigation is ongoing to determine the potential motive behind the planned terrorist act.
