A public health advisory has been issued following the hospitalization, under medical observation at Sant’Anna hospital in Como, of a resident who recently returned from international travel. As a preventative measure, local and municipal health departments have initiated an extraordinary intervention to eradicate potential disease vectors, specifically tiger mosquitoes. Residents are advised to keep windows secured, confine pets indoors, and abstain from the consumption of homegrown produce over the next few days.
