What happened

The European Centre for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC) participated as an official partner in the CBRNe Summit Europe 2025, held in Oslo, Norway. This high-level meeting saw the presence of over 300 distinguished experts from various fields, including military, civil protection, disaster medicine, public health and industry. The primary objective of the gathering was to enhance global preparedness against CBRN threats by bolstering collective response capacity in the event of high-casualty incidents. The agenda encompassed a range of subjects, including Arctic conflict management, hospital capacity management in emergencies and CBRNe resilience. A particular emphasis was placed on civil-military coordination and training, hospital preparedness and emergency stockpiles, new generation CBRNe technologies and operational deployment, and public health organisation at both the European and global levels. The summit offered a concrete platform, oriented towards solutions, cooperation and real impact.
