A road traffic accident involving a tanker truck carrying fuel occurred on the Naples ring road, the circumstances of which are currently being investigated. The flammability of the material that spilled onto the asphalt, estimated to be around 40 thousand liters by media sources, necessitated the closure of the entire stretch of road as a precautionary measure. A collaborative response was initiated by the Fire Brigade, medical and mechanical assistance, Highway Police patrols, and personnel from the Naples Ring Road Company, who intervened at the site of the incident. The incident occurred between the Vomero and Fuorigrotta exits in the direction of Pozzuoli. Traffic was interrupted in both directions to facilitate the road surface reclamation operations, and precautionary evacuation procedures were initiated for approximately one hundred families who occupied homes near the site of the spill. There were no casualties in the incident, which occurred independently and did not involve other vehicles.
